Job Description:
An Automotive General Manager oversees all operations of an automotive dealership, ensuring profitability and smooth functioning across sales, service, parts, and business office departments. They are responsible for strategic planning, team leadership, performance management, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:

Profitability and Operations:Ensures the dealership's profitability by overseeing all departments, including sales, service, parts, and the business office.

Strategic Planning:Develops and implements short and long-term goals and objectives for the dealership, aligning them with corporate strategies.

Leadership and Management:Leads and motivates the management team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations and achievement of sales targets.

Performance Management:Conducts performance evaluations, sets performance standards, and implements training programs to improve employee performance.

Sales Management:Oversees sales operations, develops sales strategies, and motivates the sales team to meet or exceed sales goals.

Customer Satisfaction:Monitors customer feedback, addresses customer concerns, and ensures a positive customer experience.

Financial Management:Works closely with the comptroller/office manager to monitor financial performance, manage budgets, and ensure the dealership remains within financial guidelines.

Compliance:Ensures all employees adhere to dealership policies, procedures, and relevant laws and regulations.
