Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth: Define and execute the overarching commercial strategy for steel products (rebar, wire, structural steel) to grow market share and revenue.
- Sales Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage regional and corporate sales teams, setting clear KPIs, sales targets, and ensuring accountability.
- Key Account Management: Build and manage high-level relationships with distributors, large industrial clients, contractors, and project managers.
- Price Negotiation & Contracting: Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms with high-volume buyers.
- Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with the manufacturing team to align production targets with inventory levels and market demand to ensure on-time delivery.
- Financial Control & Receivables: Oversee commercial budgets, P&L, credit discipline, and receivables management to ensure healthy cash flow.
- Market Analysis & Business Development: Identify new markets, emerging trends, and competitor activity to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Experience: 15–25 years of experience in sales within the steel or allied metals industry, with at least 5-7 years in a senior leadership position (Director/VP level).
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of steel manufacturing products (e.g., TMT bars, Ferro alloys, DRI) and the production-to-market lifecycle.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Metallurgy/Mechanical) + MBA is preferred, though not mandatory with extensive experience.
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience leading large teams, driving performance, and managing change in a fast-paced environment.
- Networking Abilities: Strong existing network within the steel or heavy construction material industry.
