Job Description:
A Field Officer in financial services (particularly microfinance or banking) drives business growth and manages risk by visiting clients, sourcing loans, verifying KYC documents, and ensuring timely repayment. They are responsible for building client relationships, conducting field-based financial assessments, promoting financial products, and managing loan portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Loan Sourcing & Processing: Identifying potential clients, collecting KYC documentation, and conducting client point verification (CPV).
- Field Visits & Assessment: Conducting on-site visits to assess the financial health, creditworthiness, and repayment capacity of clients.
- Collection & Recovery: Monitoring repayment schedules, ensuring timely collections, and acting to recover delinquent loans or arrears.
- Customer Relationship Management: Educating clients on products, addressing queries, and building long-term relationships, particularly in rural or community-based settings.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of client data and daily field activities to report to the Branch Manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Typically a bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting, or agriculture.
- Experience: Previous experience in sales, microfinance, or field-related financial roles is highly valued.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to evaluate financial situations and analyze risk.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for building trust in the community.
- Logistics: Willingness to work extensively in the field, often requiring a valid driving license.

- Loan repayment accuracy.
