Job Description:
A store assistant supports daily retail operations by delivering excellent customer service, managing inventory, and maintaining store cleanliness. Key responsibilities include greeting customers, processing transactions, restocking shelves, and assisting with product inquiries. They work in fast-paced environments, requiring strong communication, teamwork, and, at times, physical stamina.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet, assist, and guide customers to products, while resolving complaints professionally.
- Sales & POS Operations: Process transactions accurately using cash registers or Point of Sale (POS) systems

- Merchandising & Stock Management: Restock shelves, organize products, and assist with inventory checks, including receiving new shipments.
- Store Maintenance: Ensure the sales floor is clean, tidy, and compliant with safety guidelines.
- Team Support: Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and support management with tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Communication: Excellent verbal skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.
- Customer-Focused: A friendly, helpful, and professional demeanor.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with POS systems or basic computer, software, and, in some contexts, inventory management systems.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift or move merchandise.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is generally required.

- Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
