Job Description:

Job Title: Tender Executive – GeM Portal

Department: Tendering / Procurement

Reports To: Tender Manager / Head – Procurement


Job Summary:

The Tender Executive – GeM Portal will be responsible for managing the entire bidding process on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal. This includes identifying opportunities, preparing and submitting tenders, monitoring updates, ensuring compliance with government procurement guidelines, and coordinating with internal teams to achieve successful tender participation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Regularly monitor GeM portal for new tenders, bids, and opportunities.

  • Prepare and upload technical & financial bids in compliance with tender requirements.

  • Ensure documentation accuracy (registration certificates, PAN, GST, MSME, etc.).

  • Handle bid submission, reverse auction, and e-bidding processes on the GeM portal.

  • Coordinate with internal departments (sales, accounts, logistics, technical) for tender requirements.

  • Maintain records of submitted tenders, bid status, and contract agreements.

  • Track and ensure timely renewal of vendor registrations and certifications.

  • Communicate with government departments / agencies for clarifications and follow-ups.

  • Assist in pricing strategy and negotiation for competitive bidding.

  • Generate periodic reports on tender activity and win-loss analysis.


Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Graduate (any discipline); preference for candidates with background in Commerce / Business Administration.

  • 1–3 years of experience in tendering, preferably with GeM portal handling.

  • Strong knowledge of GeM portal functions, e-procurement, and government tender process.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management.

  • Good communication and negotiation skills.

  • Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work under deadlines.
