Job Title: General Manager – Wire Rod Mill

📍 Location: Raipur, Chhattisgarh

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced General Manager (Wire Rod Mill) to lead operations, production, and maintenance of the Wire Rod Mill. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in rolling mill operations, leadership skills, and the ability to drive productivity, cost efficiency, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end operations of the Wire Rod Mill including production, maintenance, and quality.

• Plan, schedule, and execute production to meet business targets.

• Monitor process parameters, rolling schedules, and mill performance.

• Implement best practices for productivity, yield improvement, and cost optimization.

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

• Coordinate with Block Mill, SMS, and other departments for seamless operations.

• Lead and guide technical teams, operators, and supervisors.

• Prepare and present periodic reports on production, downtime, and efficiency.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through technology adoption and training.

Qualifications & Skills:

• B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production Engineering.

• Experience: 15–20 years in Steel Industry, with at least 5 years in a Wire Rod Mill leadership role.

• Strong knowledge of rolling processes, rolling stands, shears, and finishing lines.

• Hands-on experience in mill operation, breakdown analysis, and problem solving.

• Proven leadership, decision-making, and people management skills.
