Job Description:

Installation:Install electrical components, wiring, fixtures, control systems, and equipment in new or existing structures.

Maintenance:Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to prevent outages and ensure proper functioning.

Repair:Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions, faulty wiring, and defective equipment.

Inspection & Testing:Inspect and test electrical systems, circuits, and equipment to ensure safety, functionality, and code compliance.

Reading & Interpreting:Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to plan and execute installations and repairs.

Safety Compliance:Adhere to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other safety regulations and legislation, ensuring a safe work environment.

Documentation:Maintain accurate records of work performed, repairs made, and materials used for compliance and safety audits.

Collaboration:Coordinate with other tradespeople, contractors, and project managers to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Technical Expertise: Knowledge of electrical systems, components, and tools.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and solve electrical issues effectively.
- Physical Stamina: Capacity to perform physically demanding tasks, such as working in strenuous positions or lifting heavy equipment.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in following blueprints and safety standards.
- Communication: Ability to advise clients and coordinate with other professionals.
- Formal Training & Licensing: Completion of trade school programs, apprenticeships, and licensing exams is often required.
