Job Summary
The Valet Driver is the first and last point of contact for guests. You will be responsible for parking, safeguarding, and retrieving customer vehicles in a prompt, courteous, and safe manner while maintaining an organized and welcoming entrance area.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet guests warmly upon arrival, open vehicle doors, assist with luggage or packages, and offer a polite farewell upon departure.
- Vehicle Handling: Safely drive and park automatic and manual transmission vehicles in designated parking areas without damage.
- Key & Claim Management: Accurately tag, log, and secure vehicle keys and claim tickets.
- Traffic & Area Control: Direct drive-thru or lot traffic, keep the entrance/curb clear of congestion, and report any hazards or vehicle pre-existing damage to a supervisor.
- Guest Assistance: Provide directions, local venue information, or help with rideshares and bell services as requested.
- License & Record: Valid driver’s license (Class C or regional equivalent) with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) / driving history.
- Driving Skills: Proven ability to operate both manual (stick shift) and automatic transmissions safely.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, or run for the duration of a full shift and work in various weather conditions; ability to lift luggage (up to 50 lbs).
- Communication Skills: Professional, friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
- Screening: Willingness to undergo background checks and/or pre-employment drug/nicotine screening as required by the employer.
