Job Description:
A Junior Technician is an entry-level support role responsible for assisting senior staff with the installation, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment, machinery, or digital systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Assistance & Support: Work under the supervision of senior technicians or engineers to handle daily technical tasks.
- Maintenance & Inspection: Perform routine checks, preventive maintenance, and basic physical or digital inspections.
- Troubleshooting: Help diagnose minor faults, log issues, and assist in repairing or replacing damaged parts.
- Documentation & Record-Keeping: Maintain service logs, track inventory, update system records, and document completed work.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow workplace safety rules, properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and keep the workspace clean and organized.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: High school diploma, vocational certification, or a technical diploma/degree (such as IT, mechanical, or electrical fields).
- Experience: Generally an entry-level position (0 to 2 years of hands-on experience, depending on the industry).
- Technical Aptitude: Basic familiarity with hand tools, precision measuring instruments, or fundamental IT/hardware systems.
- Soft Skills: Problem-solving ability, willingness to learn, teamwork, and clear communication.
