TECHNICIAN C&I - RAIPUR,CHHATTISGARH

• Position Title: C&I Technician (Control & Instrumentation Technician) / Instrument & Control (I&C) Technician

• Core Purpose: Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and safety of field instruments, automated valves, and control systems.

• Typical Industries: Steel plants, power generation plants, chemical processing, oil & gas, and heavy manufacturing.

• Maintenance & Calibration: Perform routine servicing and calibration of field instruments like pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters (e.g., ABB, Honeywell, Rosemount).

• Control Systems: Troubleshoot and support Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).

• Valves & Actuators: Maintain and overhaul pneumatic control valves, solenoids, and electrical/pneumatic actuators.

• Wiring & Terminations: Handle cable terminations in DCS I/O and marshalling panels, and interpret P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).

• Breakdown Support: Respond to emergency plant breakdowns, support commissioning/overhauls, and follow safety protocols (such as PTW/Permit-to-Work systems). 

• Education: Diploma or ITI in Control & Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.

• Experience: Generally 2 to 7+ years of hands-on experience in plant maintenance, field calibration, or power/steel industry environments.

• Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of RTDs, thermocouples, pressure/flow/level transmitters, and loop calibrators.
  • Familiarity with PLC/DCS vendors (such as Siemens or ABB).
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.

• Soft Skills: Problem-solving under pressure, teamwork, and adherence to plant safety standards.
