Job Title: Manager – Mechanical Maintenance
Industry: Steel / Sponge Iron / DRI / Rolling Mill / Power Plant
Department: Mechanical Maintenance
Experience: 8–15 Years in mechanical maintenance, preferably in steel/DRI plants
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Key Responsibilities

• Manage overall mechanical maintenance activities of the plant.
• Plan and execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance.
• Ensure reliable operation of mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Lead maintenance activities for kilns, conveyors, crushers, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, fans, coolers and rotary equipment.
• Prepare maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of jobs.
• Analyze equipment breakdowns and conduct root-cause analysis.
• Maintain critical spare parts and coordinate with Stores & Purchase.
• Monitor maintenance costs and implement cost-reduction measures.
• Coordinate with Production, Electrical, Instrumentation and Safety departments.
• Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures and maintenance standards.
• Manage and guide maintenance engineers, supervisors and technicians.
• Maintain maintenance records, KPIs and MIS reports.
