Job Description:

Job Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for Rolling Mill production and operations.
• Plan and achieve daily, monthly and annual production targets.
• Manage billet charging, reheating furnace, rolling stands, cooling bed, finishing and dispatch.
• Monitor mill productivity, yield, quality and production efficiency.
• Control and reduce cobble rate, rejection, downtime and material losses.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Maintenance, Quality, PPC, Stores and Dispatch teams.
• Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance is properly planned to maximize mill availability.
• Optimize power, fuel, consumables and manpower costs.
• Ensure production of quality TMT bars / MS bars / structural products / wire rods as applicable.
• Implement process improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and statutory requirements.
• Lead, train and manage production and technical teams.
• Prepare and review production reports, MIS, KPIs and operational performance.
