Job Description:
A Geologist Officer studies the Earth's structure, physical features, and history to locate natural resources, evaluate land safety for construction, or ensure environmental rules are met. They collect field samples, run lab tests, create maps, and write technical reports for mining, energy, or government agencies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field surveys and collect rock, soil, or water samples.
  • Test material properties using laboratory tools and mapping software.
  • Analyze data to find mineral, oil, gas, or water deposits.
  • Advise teams on building stability for roads, dams, or mines.
  • Check project sites to follow safety and environmental laws
Requirements and Skills
  • Degree in Geology, Earth Science, or Geophysics.
  • Strong field research and data analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of GIS or specialized modeling software.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
