Job Description:
A mechanical maintenance professional installs, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs factory machinery, industrial equipment, and mechanical systems. They perform routine preventive care and fix broken parts to reduce operational downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Run scheduled preventive maintenance checks on equipment.
- Inspect machines to find early signs of wear, leaks, or strange noises.
- Dismantle broken devices to repair or replace faulty gears, belts, and bearings.
- Read mechanical blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Record completed repairs and maintain service logs.
- Follow workplace safety rules and maintain a clean work area.
Requirements & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational school certification is preferred.
- Experience working with industrial tools, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Physical strength to stand, walk, and lift heavy items.
