Job Description:
A Manager of Accounts and Finance oversees an organization’s financial health, daily accounting operations, and regulatory compliance. Key duties include managing financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow, and tax obligations while leading the accounting team.
Core Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Operations Oversight: Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Budgeting & Analysis: Develop annual budgets, monitor variance, and analyze financial performance.
- Compliance & Audits: Ensure adherence to tax laws, statutory filings (such as GST/TDS or local equivalents), and manage internal/external audits.
- Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and supervise accounting staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. Professional certifications (CA, CPA, or equivalent) are preferred.
- Experience: 3 to 8+ years of relevant accounting and finance management experience.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in ERP software (such as SAP, Oracle, or Tally) and advanced Excel.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of local tax regulations, financial standards (GAAP/IFRS), and internal controls.
