Security Officer – Job Description

Position: Security Officer
Industry Preference: Manufacturing / Steel / Fabrication / Engineering Plant

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety and security of the plant, employees, visitors, and company assets.
• Monitor entry and exit of employees, visitors, contractors, and vehicles.
• Supervise security guards and allocate duties across all shifts.
• Conduct regular patrols and inspect the plant premises for security risks.
• Prevent theft, unauthorized access, vandalism, and other security breaches.
• Maintain visitor registers, gate passes, and security records.
• Coordinate emergency response during fire, accidents, or other incidents.
• Investigate security incidents and prepare detailed reports.
• Ensure compliance with company security policies and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with local police, fire department, and other authorities when required.
• Conduct security awareness training and emergency drills.
• Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and security equipment.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate in any discipline (Retired Defence/Army personnel preferred).
• 5–10 years of experience in plant/industrial security.
• Knowledge of industrial security procedures, fire safety, and emergency response.
• Good leadership, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Familiarity with CCTV monitoring, access control systems, and gate management.
• Ability to work in rotational shifts.
