Job Description:
A Business Development Officer (BDO) drives company growth by identifying new markets, forging strategic partnerships, and acquiring new clients. They focus on strategic planning, revenue generation, and market expansion rather than daily sales. BDOs act as the bridge between sales, marketing, and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Research & Strategy: Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to uncover new business opportunities.
- Lead Generation: Prospect and cultivate strong relationships with prospective clients, investors, and strategic partners.
- Proposal Development: Collaborate with internal teams to create customized, compelling business proposals.
- Negotiation & Deal Closure: Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and agreements to finalize profitable deals.
- Relationship Management: Maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders and existing clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on revenue targets to senior management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven track record in business development, sales, or a similar growth-focused role.
- Skills: Exceptional negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Strong business acumen and proficiency in CRM tools (like HubSpot or Salesforce) are essential.
