Job Description:
A Senior Welder position requires a skilled professional to perform complex metal joining, interpret blueprints, and guide junior team members. Key responsibilities include advanced fabrication, quality inspection, and strict safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Welding: Execute high-quality TIG, MIG, and Stick (SMAW) welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum in various positions.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret complex technical drawings, isometric layouts, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
- Quality Control: Inspect finished welds for structural integrity, cracks, or defects using measuring tools and visual checks.
- Team Leadership: Mentor, train, and assist junior welders and fabricators on the shop floor.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean, set up, and perform routine checks on welding machines and safety gear.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on industrial or structural welding experience.
- Certification: Valid professional certification such as AWS (American Welding Society) or ASME.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long hours, lift heavy metal components, and work in challenging environments.
