Job Description:
A Production Incharge supervises daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets are met efficiently, safely, and within budget. They bridge strategy and execution by managing shop-floor personnel, optimizing machine utilization, coordinating raw material flow, and enforcing stringent quality control standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning & Scheduling: Organize daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to fulfill customer demands and hit delivery deadlines.
- Team Management: Supervise, train, and schedule production staff, assigning roles effectively to maximize labor efficiency and maintain high morale.
- Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to reduce defects and ensure products comply with industry and company standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Organize routine equipment checks and preventive maintenance programs to minimize costly downtime and machinery failures.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce occupational health and safety regulations to maintain a zero-accident work environment.
- Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement methodologies like Lean manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma to reduce waste and optimize operating costs.
Core Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a relevant sector-specific discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production supervisory role.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and proficiency in using production management or ERP software.
- Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills to resolve workflow bottlenecks and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
