Job Description:
An Associate Vice President (AVP) and Vice President (VP) act as senior leaders translating high-level strategy into actionable operations. They oversee departmental performance, manage budgets, mentor managers, and drive cross-functional projects. These roles typically require 7-10+ years of experience and a proven record of organizational growth.
Core Responsibilities
- Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with executive teams (CEO, COO, EVP) to develop, refine, and execute long-term strategic plans.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations, analyze business metrics, and implement process improvements to increase productivity.
- Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and build high-performing teams while ensuring departmental goals align with overall organizational objectives.
- Budgeting & Financials: Develop, manage, and monitor departmental budgets, focusing on cost-efficiency and ROI maximization.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with key clients, external agencies, and internal senior executives to facilitate growth.
Essential Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a specialized field (e.g., Finance, Tech, Engineering); MBA or relevant Master's degree is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 7-10+ years of progressive experience in senior management or specialized department leadership, with at least 3-5 years in a strategic/people-leader role.
- Skills: Exceptional communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and cross-functional project management capabilities.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Team Performance: Meeting or exceeding predefined departmental KPIs (e.g., sales targets, project delivery timelines).
- Budget Adherence: Operating within ±2-5% of the allocated departmental budget while hitting financial growth targets.
- Operational Efficiency: Quantifiable reduction in operational bottlenecks or demonstrable percentage improvements in workflow turnaround times (e.g., 15-20% boost in productivity).
