Job Description:
- Lead and manage procurement activities for plant expansion, capital projects, and engineering requirements.
- Develop project procurement plans aligned with project timelines, budgets, and technical specifications.
- Source, evaluate, and finalize vendors for machinery, equipment, spares, structural materials, and project-related services.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, contracts, and delivery schedules to achieve cost-effective procurement.
- Coordinate with project, engineering, production, maintenance, and finance teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, comparative statements, and contract documentation.
- Monitor vendor performance, delivery schedules, quality compliance, and project milestones.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual obligations, and statutory requirements.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, vendor development, and value engineering initiatives.
- Maintain procurement records, MIS reports, project procurement status, and supplier databases.
- Resolve procurement-related issues and ensure uninterrupted material supply for ongoing projects.
- Candidates with experience in project procurement, EPC procurement, capital equipment purchasing, steel plants, or heavy industrial projects will be preferred.
