Job Description:
A Construction and Infrastructure Site Supervisor directs daily on-site operations. They bridge the gap between project managers and laborers by enforcing safety standards, managing materials, and ensuring work aligns with structural blueprints and budget specifications. [1, 2]
Key Responsibilities
- Project Execution: Interpret blueprints and structural drawings to guide daily site activities. Ensure work meets quality standards and timeline benchmarks. [1, 2]
- Safety & Compliance (HSE): Implement safety protocols, conduct hazard inspections, and enforce the use of protective equipment. Train workers on accident protocols and maintain on-site first aid readiness. [1, 2, 3]
- Resource & Inventory Management: Monitor and track inventory of construction supplies. Arrange material orders (e.g., steel, cement) and manage equipment maintenance. [1, 2, 3]
- Team Leadership: Supervise construction crews and subcontractors. Evaluate performance, maintain attendance records, and assign daily tasks. [1, 2, 3]
- Reporting & Coordination: Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly progress reports. Liaise with engineers, architects, and vendors to resolve day-to-day site issues. [1, 2, 3]
Role Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Typically 2–5 years of hands-on experience on construction sites.
- Certifications: Recognized site safety credentials, along with CPR and first aid certifications.
- Core Skills: Ability to read drawings, strong conflict resolution, and solid computer literacy for reporting. [1, 2, 3, 4]
