SHIFT INCHARGE SMS FOR STEEL MANUFACTURING - DURG , CHHATTISGARH
Job Description:
- Production Oversight: Execute daily production plans, monitor process parameters, and oversee the charging, melting, refining, and casting processes. [1, 2]
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and allocate tasks to operators and workers to meet shift output and productivity targets. [1, 2]
- Troubleshooting: Rapidly diagnose and resolve production bottlenecks and mechanical or electrical equipment breakdowns. [1, 2]
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols, ensuring the safe handling of molten metal and hazardous machinery. [1, 2]
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with maintenance, quality control, and raw material departments to minimize downtime. [1, 2]
- Documentation: Maintain shift logs, material consumption records, and handover reports for incoming shifts. [1, 2]
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical,
- Experience: Typically 5 to 8+ years in SMS operations or maintenance within a steel manufacturing plant.
- Skills Required: Deep knowledge of SMS processes (EAF, LRF, CCM), strong team management, troubleshooting capability, and familiarity with safety regulations. [1, 2, 3, 4]
