Job Description:
A Sales Executive for a wholesaler is responsible for driving revenue by prospecting new retailers, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and achieving sales targets. They negotiate prices, process orders, monitor stock availability, and manage collections within their assigned territory. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Identify and acquire new B2B clients through cold calling, market visits, and networking.
- Relationship Management: Manage key accounts, understand client purchasing trends, and ensure high customer retention.
- Sales & Negotiation: Present wholesale product catalogs, negotiate volume discounts, and close profitable deals.
- Order Processing & Fulfillment: Process orders accurately and coordinate with logistics/warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Payment Collections: Follow up on invoices, track receivables, and ensure payments are collected according to company policies.
- Market Intelligence: Gather competitor pricing and market feedback, adjusting product mixes to maximize sales velocity. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]
Essential Requirements
- Experience: 0-1 years of proven experience in B2B sales, wholesale, or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Skills: Strong negotiation, excellent communication, and proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software or mobile sales tools.
- Attributes: Target-driven, adaptable, and willing to travel frequently within the assigned region
