ACCOUNTS MANAGER FOR COLD STORAGE - RAIPUR , CHHATTISGARH

Job Description:

The Accounts Manager in a cold storage company is responsible for managing accounting operations, inventory-related financial records, billing, taxation, vendor payments, customer accounts, and financial reporting. The role ensures accurate maintenance of accounts while supporting warehouse and cold storage operations.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Management

• Maintain day-to-day accounting records and ledger entries
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Handle accounts payable and receivable
• Monitor cash flow and bank reconciliations
• Manage GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance
• Coordinate audits and tax filings

Billing & Customer Accounts

• Generate storage bills, rental invoices, and service charges
• Track customer outstanding payments and collections
• Maintain customer account statements
• Resolve billing discrepancies

Inventory & Warehouse Accounting

• Maintain stock and inventory accounting records
• Reconcile warehouse stock with accounting data
• Monitor storage loss, damages, and shrinkage reports
• Coordinate with warehouse operations team

Vendor & Procurement Management

• Process vendor invoices and payments
• Maintain supplier account records
• Verify procurement and expense documents

MIS & Reporting

• Prepare MIS reports for management
• Analyze operational costs and profitability
• Maintain budgeting and expense tracking

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Maintain proper financial documentation and records
• Support internal and external audits

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com/M.Com preferred)
• 8+ years of accounting experience, preferably in cold storage, warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing industries

Required Skills

• Knowledge of GST, TDS, and accounting principles
• Experience with accounting software such as:
  • TallyPrime
  • SAP ERP
  • Busy Accounting Software
• Strong MS Excel and MIS reporting skills
• Inventory accounting knowledge
• Good communication and team coordination abilities
• Attention to detail and analytical skills
