Job Description:
Purchase Head to lead procurement strategy, vendor management, and material planning for smooth plant operations. The company offers a senior leadership role with strong career growth opportunities in the manufacturing sector.
- Lead overall purchase and procurement functions for raw materials, consumables, machinery, and services.
- Develop sourcing strategies to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement.
- Manage procurement of steel coils, pipes, industrial materials, spares, and plant requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and supplier networks.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and annual rate agreements.
- Ensure uninterrupted material availability for production and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with stores, production, finance, and planning teams for purchase requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock to reduce carrying costs.
- Maintain purchase MIS, vendor performance reports, and savings analysis.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and audit requirements.
- Track market trends, steel prices, and supply risks for strategic decisions.
- Candidates with strong procurement leadership experience in steel/manufacturing industries preferred.
