Job Description:
A Solar Sales Officer/Executive drives revenue by generating leads, conducting site assessments, and selling solar installation packages to residential or commercial clients. They prepare tailored proposals, educate clients on energy benefits, and manage the sales process from lead generation to closing. Key responsibilities include hitting sales targets and providing post-sale support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Sales: Identify new clients through networking, cold calling, and referrals, and manage the full sales cycle to exceed targets.
- Site Assessments: Conduct on-site evaluations to determine solar potential and energy requirements.
- Proposals & Technical Support: Prepare customized proposals, site layouts, and quotes (including tax incentives).
- Customer Education & Closing: Explain technical solar concepts (equipment, ROI, installation) simply to clients.
- Relationship Management: Maintain client relationships for future referrals and oversee the project until installation.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in solar or renewable energy sales is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of solar PV technology and energy systems.
- Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Technical Literacy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Mobility: Valid driver’s license, as travel to client sites is often required.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, or a related field.
