Job Description:
A Turbine DCS Engineer in a power plant operates and monitors turbine systems using Distributed Control Systems (DCS) to ensure safe, efficient generation. Key responsibilities include real-time parameter monitoring (speed, vibration, pressure), startup/shutdown, alarm management, and troubleshooting, typically requiring 3-5 years of experience in power plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- DCS Operation: Monitor and control turbine parameters (speed, temperature, pressure, vibration) via DCS to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Operational Control: Execute startup, synchronization, load variation, and shutdown procedures.
- Troubleshooting: Analyze and respond to DCS alarms, process deviations, and abnormal conditions, taking prompt corrective action.
- System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and configuration of DCS and related field instrumentation (valves, transmitters, controllers).
- Coordination: Collaborate with boiler, electrical, and site teams to maintain optimal plant performance and synchronization.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate operational logs, shift reports, and data management.
Job Requirements
- Education: B.E/B.Tech or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Usually 3–5 years in power plant DCS operation (e.g., thermal or Captive Power Plant).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in DCS systems, SCADA, PLC, and turbine control logic.

The entity is engaged in setting up a Greenfield project at Mudpar --- Rampura villages in the Nawagarh tehsil, Bemetara district (near Mungeli), which includes 2×350 TPD DRI (sponge iron) kilns --- an 18-MW WHRB-based captive --- plant.
