Job Description:
A Shift Incharge for a DRI (Direct Reduced Iron) plant manages daily kiln operations, ensuring production targets, process control, safety compliance, and team supervision. Candidates generally require 5–10 years of experience in Coal-Based Sponge Iron (DRI) plants, holding a B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering.
Key Job Description Responsibilities:
- Production & Process Control: Monitor rotary kiln operations, process parameters, furnace temperature, and material balance to meet production targets.
- Operational Optimization: Analyze raw material quality (coal, iron ore) to maintain optimal slag chemistry and process efficiency.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols (SOPs) and environmental regulations within the DRI plant.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize downtime and prevent bottlenecks.
- Team Leadership: Lead shift team members, allocate manpower, and provide training.
- Coordination & Reporting: Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive/breakdown repairs and submit daily production reports.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Education: B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience: 5-10 years in DRI/Sponge Iron plants (350 TPD and above preferred).
- Skills: Strong knowledge of kiln operations, DCS systems, and troubleshooting.

The entity is engaged in setting up a Greenfield project at Mudpar --- Rampura villages in the Nawagarh tehsil, Bemetara district (near Mungeli), which includes 2×350 TPD DRI (sponge iron) kilns --- an 18-MW WHRB-based captive --- plant.
