STOREKEEPER CUM SUPERVISOR FOR STEEL MANUFACTURING - RAIPUR , CHHATTISGARH

Job Description:

• Inventory Management: Oversee the receiving, storage, and issuance of steel raw materials, consumable stores, and finished goods, managing daily inward/outward movement.
• Supervision: Lead warehouse staff (clerks, loaders) to maintain an organized, clean, and safe storage environment.
• Material Control: Perform material inspection for quality and quantity against purchase orders and dispatch documents, handling raw material unloading and storage.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate physical and digital stock registers, ensuring timely entries of GRN (Goods Received Note), MRN (Material Received Note), and LIFO/FIFO tracking.
• Auditing: Conduct regular stock physical verification (audits) to reconcile physical inventory with system records.
• Reporting: Prepare and submit daily/weekly inventory status reports and stock analysis to management.
• Coordination: Coordinate with procurement and production departments to ensure uninterrupted supply and stock replenishment.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations, ensuring proper stacking and handling of steel, especially when managing lifting equipment. 
  Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: Proven experience as a Store Keeper or Supervisor, preferably in a steel plant, heavy fabrication unit, or manufacturing environment.
• Education: High school diploma required; Diploma in Materials Management or related field preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/inventory management software.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of steel materials (profiles, plates, scrap) and warehousing safety procedures.
• Abilities: High attention to detail, inventory accuracy, and leadership ability.
