Job Description:
A Food Plant Supervisor (Fresher) oversees daily production activities, ensuring food safety (HACCP/GMP), quality standards, and efficiency on the production line. Responsibilities include managing workers, monitoring machinery, maintaining sanitation, and meeting daily output targets. Strong leadership, technical aptitude, and knowledge of safety regulations are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Management: Supervise daily production schedules to meet volume, quality, and delivery targets, as outlined in the Production Supervisor Job Description [Updated 2025].
- Quality and Safety Compliance: Monitor products for quality standards (taste, appearance) and strictly enforce sanitation standards (HACCP/GMP).
- Team Leadership: Guide production line workers, train new employees, and manage daily staffing assignments.
- Equipment Monitoring: Ensure proper functioning of machinery and coordinate with maintenance for repairs to minimize downtime.
- Inventory Control: Oversee raw material usage and report on, or maintain, inventory levels.
Required Skills and Qualifications (Fresher Focus)
- Education: Typically requires a degree/diploma in Food Technology, Engineering, Agriculture, or related field.
- Food Safety Knowledge: Basic understanding of HACCP, GMP, or food safety regulations.
- Communication: Effective communication skills to manage teams and report to management.
