Job Description:
A Sales Executive for traders (specifically within finance/financial markets) acts as the intermediary between the trading floor and institutional clients. They drive revenue by sourcing new clients, pitching investment opportunities, and providing market insights for products like bonds, FX, and equities. This role involves building relationships, negotiating, and executing trades.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Acquisition: Generate new business via prospecting, cold calling, and networking to expand the client base.
- Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with existing institutional clients, such as banks, insurers, and investment funds.
- Market Intelligence: Stay updated on investment news, market conditions, and trends to provide relevant market commentary.
- Pitching Solutions: Pitch and sell tailored financial products (e.g., FX, equities, derivatives) to meet client investment objectives.
- Trade Execution: Collaborate closely with traders to execute buy/sell orders.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and client communication using CRM tools.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or related field.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Sales Executive or in a similar financial sales role.
- Skills: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, strong understanding of financial markets, and high proficiency in, or ability to learn, trading software.
