Job Description:
A Commercial Executive in a coal washery operates at the intersection of operations, logistics, and finance, ensuring that the processing of raw coal into washed coal is profitable, timely, and compliant with contractual obligations. This role requires managing the flow of materials, coordinating with transporters and railway authorities, and handling documentation for sales and dispatch.

To oversee the commercial aspects of coal washing operations—including procurement, logistics, sales, and inventory management—ensuring optimal plant utilization, adherence to quality standards, and maximum profitability.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Logistics & Dispatch Coordination: Oversee the end-to-end logistics of moving raw coal to the washery and distributing processed coal to clients via road or rail (rake handling).
- Documentation & Billing: Manage documentation for consignments, including invoices, challans, e-way bills, and quality analysis reports.
- Inventory & Stock Management: Maintain accurate records of raw coal, washed coal, and rejects; reconcile stock records with physical stock at the plant.
- Client & Vendor Relationship: Coordinate with clients regarding coal quality, sizing requirements, and dispatch schedules. Manage transport contractors and vendors.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, statutory requirements, and safety protocols for transportation.
- MIS Reporting: Prepare daily/monthly reports regarding production, dispatch, and inventory for management review.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in a logistics, commercial, or dispatch role within a coal washery, mining, or power plant environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel for data analysis and MIS reports). Familiarity with ERP systems and weighbridge software is often required.
- Knowledge: Understanding of coal grades, beneficiation processes, and transportation logistics (road/rail).
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for coordinating between plant staff, transporters, and clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of SAP, GST compliance, and accounting software.
- Ability to work under pressure in a remote site environment.
