Job Description:

The Chemist Ferro is responsible for analyzing ferroalloys and raw materials, ensuring chemical quality standards, and supporting the steel manufacturing process with accurate laboratory data. This role contributes to maintaining product consistency, optimizing processes, and complying with safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct chemical analysis of ferroalloys, raw materials, and steel products using laboratory techniques.
• Perform quality control tests to ensure materials meet company and industry standards.
• Maintain laboratory instruments, including spectrometers, analyzers, and other testing equipment.
• Prepare samples and carry out routine and advanced chemical tests.
• Record, analyze, and interpret test data to provide actionable insights for production teams.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams for process improvement.
• Ensure adherence to lab safety protocols, SOPs, and environmental regulations.
• Participate in troubleshooting process deviations related to chemical composition.
• Maintain proper documentation of test results, calibration logs, and chemical inventories.
• Stay updated on advances in metallurgical chemistry and analytical techniques.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Metallurgy, or related field.
• Prior experience in ferroalloy/steel industry laboratory is preferred.
• Knowledge of analytical techniques: spectroscopy, titration, gravimetric analysis, etc.
• Understanding of industrial safety standards and lab practices.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
