Job Description:

• A Graduate Engineer Trainee (Mechanical) will undergo training in the power plant of a steel manufacturing company. The role involves learning plant operations, assisting in maintenance activities, and supporting senior engineers to ensure smooth and efficient power generation.

  Key Responsibilities:

  1. Training & Learning

  • Learn the working of boilers, turbines, generators, and auxiliary equipment
  • Understand power plant processes and system flow
  • Work under the guidance of senior engineers during shifts

  2. Operations Support

  • Record and monitor plant parameters (temperature, pressure, flow, etc.)
  • Assist control room and field operations team
  • Report abnormalities or deviations

  3. Maintenance Support

  • Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance activities
  • Participate in equipment inspections (pumps, valves, pipelines)
  • Support troubleshooting under supervision

  4. Safety Compliance

  • Follow all safety procedures and use PPE
  • Identify and report potential hazards
  • Participate in safety drills and training programs

  5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain log sheets and records
  • Prepare basic daily reports
  • Support data collection and analysis

  Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Fresher)
  • Basic knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics
