Job Description:
A Sales Officer for a cosmetic products manufacturing company drives sales growth by acquiring new B2B clients, managing distributor networks, and meeting sales targets. They promote products, manage the sales cycle from enquiry to order, and provide market insights on trends to drive revenue, often requiring strong negotiation, communication, and cosmetic industry knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Target Achievement: Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets by driving B2B sales in the cosmetics, skincare, and personal care categories.
- Business Development: Identify and acquire new B2B clients, distributors, and retailers to grow market share.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients through regular follow-ups.
- Product Promotion & Demonstrations: Showcase product range (including new launches) and provide product demonstrations or samples to clients.
- Sales Cycle Management: Handle enquiries, negotiate deals, and manage the complete order process, including sample approval.
- Market Analysis & Reporting: Keep updated on beauty trends, competitive products, and ingredient trends; report progress and maintain CRM records.
- Support & Coordination: Work with internal teams (logistics, production) to ensure smooth delivery and customer satisfaction.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in FMCG, B2B sales, or private label sales, preferably in the cosmetics industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of cosmetic formulations, ingredients, and product development (NPD) processes.
- Communication: Strong communication skills for client handling and negotiations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field is often preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and CRM software for reporting.
