Job Description:
A Computer Operator in a solar installation company manages daily data entry, monitors solar PV system performance, generates energy production reports, and supports technical teams. They ensure accurate documentation, maintain operational logs, and troubleshoot software/hardware issues to keep daily operations running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Entry & Monitoring: Enter, update, and verify solar system project data, including installation records and energy performance data.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor real-time performance of installed solar PV systems and generate daily, weekly, or monthly reports on energy production and efficiency.
- System Maintenance: Maintain computer systems, update software, and troubleshoot hardware/software issues to prevent work disruptions.
- Coordination: Assist in coordinating with installation/technical teams for maintenance schedules and technical support.
- Documentation: Maintain inventory logs, client records, and service files for operational, billing, and reporting purposes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; 12th pass preferred.
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience in data entry or as a computer operator.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel), data entry software, and internet applications.
- Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Optional: Basic understanding of solar energy systems or maintenance is a plus.
Common Requirements
- Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday, full-time (e.g., 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM).
- Setting: Office-based, working with printers, scanners, and computers
