Job Description:
A Female HR Officer in a fabrication plant manages the full employee lifecycle, focusing on recruitment, statutory compliance (Factories Act, PF, ESI), payroll, and industrial relations. The role involves acting as a bridge between management and the shopfloor workforce to maintain a productive, safe, and harmonious environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Sourcing, interviewing, and hiring skilled/unskilled labor, engineers, and staff; conducting inductions.
- Statutory Compliance & IR: Ensuring strict adherence to labor laws (Factories Act, Minimum Wages Act, CLRA), maintaining registers, and managing union/contractor relationships.
- Payroll & Time Office Management: Managing attendance, leave, shift schedules, and salary processing.
- Employee Relations & Welfare: Addressing grievances, mediating conflicts, and implementing employee engagement activities (e.g., safety weeks).
- Safety & Compliance: Collaborating on workplace safety protocols and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Performance & Training: Organizing training programs and conducting performance appraisals.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintaining employee records, MIS reports, and coordinating with government labor authorities.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (MBA/MSW preferred).
- Experience: 3–6+ years in HR, specifically in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Factories Act, labor laws, and industrial relations.
- Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), HRMS/SAP, strong communication, and conflict resolution skills.
