Job Description:
An HR Recruiter for a steel manufacturing company manages end-to-end hiring, specializing in industrial, technical, and engineering roles. Key duties include bulk hiring for plant operations, sourcing via job portals, conducting interviews, ensuring technical competency, and coordinating onboarding. Experience in labor law compliance is crucial.
Key Responsibilities
- Bulk Hiring: Manage high-volume recruitment for steel plant operators, maintenance staff, engineers, and contractual manpower.
- Sourcing & Screening: Utilize LinkedIn, job boards, and local networking to source candidates. Screen resumes and conduct technical/screening interviews.
- Compliance & Contracting: Ensure adherence to labor laws, including the Factories Act, PF, and ESIC compliance.
- Coordination: Partner with plant management to identify staffing needs and facilitate technical interviews with department heads.
- Onboarding: Manage the offer process, documentation, and joining formalities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 3-6 years of experience in recruitment within a manufacturing, heavy industry, or steel plant setup.
- Strong knowledge of industrial recruitment, including contract labor hiring.
- Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with labor unions and on-site plant HR operations.
- Proven ability to manage both permanent and contractual staff hiring.
