Job Description:
A Cook cum Housekeeper provides comprehensive domestic services, managing daily household cleanliness while preparing nutritious meals. Responsibilities include meal planning, cooking, sanitizing kitchen areas, laundry, sweeping/mopping, and garbage disposal. This role requires physical stamina, reliability, and expertise in maintaining a hygienic, organized, and welcoming home environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Cooking & Table Service: Plan menus, prepare nutritious meals, manage grocery inventory, and serve food.
- Housekeeping & Cleaning: Perform daily cleaning, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and deep cleaning kitchens and bathrooms.
- Laundry & Maintenance: Manage laundry (washing, ironing, folding) and maintain cleanliness of bed linens and clothing.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain high sanitation standards, ensure safe food handling, and proper waste disposal.
- Organization: Manage household inventory, such as cleaning supplies and pantry items, to ensure efficient operation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Skills: Expertise in domestic cooking (various cuisines) and professional housekeeping techniques.
- Personal Attributes: Reliability, honesty, trustworthiness, and attention to detail.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (standing for long periods, lifting, cleaning).
- Communication: Good communication skills to take instructions and report requirements.
Job Scope Details
