Job Description:
A Security Guard in a chains manufacturing company is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the factory premises, raw materials (heavy metals), finished products, machinery, and personnel. They prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access, acting as a visible deterrent to security risks, particularly in high-risk areas like storage yards and loading docks.
Key Responsibilities
- Access Control & Visitor Management: Monitor and control entry/exit points for employees, visitors, vendors, and transport vehicles, verifying identity and issuing visitor passes.
- Asset Protection & Inspections: Inspect trucks and containers during dispatch, verify delivery challans, and ensure finished products (chains) and raw materials are not stolen or lost.
- Factory Patrolling: Conduct regular, randomized patrols on foot or by vehicle around the factory floor, warehouses, storage yards, and perimeter fencing to detect potential breaches.
- Surveillance Operations: Monitor CCTV cameras, security alarms, and fire detection systems to detect unauthorized activities or safety hazards.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed logs of vehicle movements, employee attendance, visitor entries, and report daily activities or security incidents to management.
- Emergency Response: Act as a first responder in emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, or structural damage, assisting in evacuation and securing the scene.
- Enforcing Safety Protocols: Ensure workers and visitors follow safety discipline, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in hazardous zones.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Physical Fitness & Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, walk for patrols, and handle physical tasks, including night shifts.
- Experience: Previous experience in industrial, factory, or warehouse security is preferred.
- Education: Minimum 10th or 12th standard pass or equivalent.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to report incidents accurately.
- Observation: High level of alertness and attention to detail to detect security risks.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of security systems, such as monitoring software, two-way radios, and metal detectors.
- Licensing: Possession of a valid state-required security guard license.
Typical Work Schedule
- Shift System: Often includes day, night, and weekend shifts.
- Rotation: Duties are frequently rotated to prevent complacency
