Job Description:
A Sales & Marketing Executive for a cement distributor drives regional sales by acquiring new dealers, managing existing relationships, and achieving volume targets. They promote products to builders/contractors, manage customer credit, and ensure timely market reach within assigned territories. Key duties include reporting, market analysis, and channel management.
Core Responsibilities
- Sales Target Achievement: Meet or exceed monthly/annual sales targets for cement products.
- Dealer/Channel Management: Identify, appoint, and manage new dealers/sub-dealers to expand market coverage.
- Relationship Management: Actively engage with builders, contractors, engineers, and government departments to promote cement products.
- Market Coverage: Cover assigned territories regularly, conducting market visits and mapping new construction projects.
- Collections: Manage outstanding receivables, ensuring timely collections and managing Credit Control/C Forms.
- Promotional Activities: Implement sales promotions and branding activities in the territory.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports on sales activities, competitor activity, and market trends to management.
Key Requirements
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in sales, specifically within the cement or building materials sector.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, customer relationship management (CRM), and communication skills.
- Education: Graduate or Bachelor's in Business Administration (BBA/MBA) preferred.
- Requirements: Ability to travel extensively and a strong command of local territory knowledge.
Performance Metrics
- Sales volume and revenue generated.
- Number of new dealers onboarded.
- Percentage of account collections/reduction in credit days.
- Market share growth within the territory.
