Job Description:
A Junior Accountant provides crucial support to the finance department by managing daily bookkeeping, processing accounts payable/receivable, reconciling bank statements, and preparing journal entries. They assist with month-end closing, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's degree in accounting and possess strong Excel skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Entry & Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records, general ledgers, and journals.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, verify expenses, and manage supplier bill backs
.
- Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Assist senior accountants with preparing weekly/monthly financial reports, budgets, and tax preparation.
- Compliance: Ensure all procedures comply with financial regulations and company policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience, often required, including knowledge of accounting principles.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office (specifically Excel).
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
