Job Description:

An accountant manages, analyzes, and reports an organization's financial transactions, ensuring accurate record-keeping, regulatory compliance, and tax filings. Key duties include reconciling bank accounts, preparing balance sheets and income statements, managing payroll, and providing financial insights to support management decision-making.

Core Responsibilities

Financial Recording: Maintain general ledgers, journals, and trial balances.
Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Compliance & Tax: Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or IFRS and handle tax returns.

Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Analysis & Budgeting: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and cost-reduction opportunities.
Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Certification: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Oracle) and MS Excel.
