A Sr. Civil Engineer (Building Construction/Site Engineer) is responsible for turning architectural designs into physical structures, ensuring that buildings are constructed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards. They act as the primary technical contact on-site, supervising labor and coordinating between architects, contractors, and clients.

Role Overview
- Site Management: Overseeing day-to-day on-site activities to ensure adherence to building plans.
- Supervision: Leading and monitoring the progress of construction labor to maintain productivity.
- Technical Quality Control: Ensuring structural integrity, checking reinforcement steel (Bar Bending Schedule), and conducting concrete tests.
- Compliance: Ensuring all construction activities meet safety, legal, and environmental regulations (e.g., IS codes).
Key Responsibilities
- Reading & Interpreting Drawings: Reviewing structural and architectural drawings for construction feasibility.
- Site Investigations: Conducting topographical surveys and soil studies before breaking ground.
- Material Management: Procuring, checking quality, and managing construction materials like cement, steel, and aggregates.
- Project Scheduling: Creating work schedules (e.g., in MS Project) to ensure timely completion.
- Safety Assurance: Implementing health and safety protocols to protect workers and visitors.
- Reporting: Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for senior management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Software Proficiency: AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), MS Office, and scheduling software like Primavera or MS Project.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience, preferably with high-rise or large infrastructure buildings.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, leadership, attention to detail, and good communication skills.

- This is an on-field role requiring long hours on site, often in varying weather conditions.
