ASST. FITTER CUM WELDER FOR STEEL MANUFACTURING - RAIPUR , CHHATTISGARH

Job Description:

• Fitting and Assembly: Read blueprints and technical drawings to measure, cut, and fit metal parts together accurately before welding.
• Welding Tasks: Perform MIG, TIG, or ARC welding to join metal components, ensuring proper penetration and structural integrity.
• Material Preparation: Use cutting, grinding, and shaping tools to prepare metal surfaces for welding.
• Quality Inspection: Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality and safety standards.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on welding machines, torches, and tools.
• Safety Compliance: Strictly follow all safety protocols, including wearing protective gear (PPE), maintaining a clean, orderly workspace, and ensuring safe handling of gas cylinders.
• Support Roles: Assist senior welders and fitters in complex fabrication tasks, including layout and positioning of heavy materials. 
   

• Education: ITI certificate (Welder/Fitter), Diploma in Mechanical/Fabrication, or equivalent Technical Certification.
• Experience: 1–5 years of experience in welding, fitting, and fabrication, ideally within a steel or heavy manufacturing industrial setting.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and ARC welding techniques.
• Tools Knowledge: Ability to use hand tools, power tools, grinders, and cutting torches.
• Blueprint Reading: Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
• Physical Stamina: Capability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift heavy objects, and stand for extended periods. 
   

• Prior experience in structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing.
• Knowledge of different metals (e.g., mild steel, stainless steel).
• Certification in 3G/4G welding.
