We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Sales Manager to lead our electrical trading team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for expanding our client base, nurturing key dealer/contractor relationships, achieving sales targets, and managing a team of sales professionals. You will possess deep technical knowledge of electrical components (switchgears, panels, cables, lighting) and a proven track record in B2B sales.Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and implement sales strategies to expand market share, identifying new B2B business opportunities and dealer networks.
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales team, setting KPIs and monitoring individual performance.
- Client Relationship Management: Build long-term relationships with key clients, including contractors, EPC companies, and large industrial clients.
- Product Expertise & Promotion: Act as a technical expert on the product range (motors, switchgear, panels), creating sales pitches and technical presentations to demonstrate product benefits.
- Sales Performance Tracking: Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and MIS for senior management to track sales statistics based on quantitative metrics.
- Order Execution Coordination: Coordinate with internal departments (purchasing, logistics) to ensure smooth order execution and timely product delivery.
- Market Research: Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies to adjust sales tactics.
Required Qualifications- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in sales/business development within the electrical, trading, or panel-manufacturing industry.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of LT/HT panels, switchgears, cables, motors, and lighting products.
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience in managing a team, handling recruitment, training, and performance appraisals.
Key Skills- Negotiation & Closing: Expert at negotiating contract terms and closing high-value B2B deals.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, interpret sales reports, and create forecasts.
- CRM Proficiency: Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho, HubSpot) and MS Office Suite.
- Result-Oriented: A proactive, target-oriented mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Working Conditions- Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent.
- Work Arrangement: Generally works from the office, but requires frequent travel to client sites and trade shows.
- Salary Range: Competitive salary with commission structures based on skill and experience
