JOB DESCRIPTION – PROJECT HEAD (NRDA Projects)

Position: Project Head

Department: Project Execution / Operations

Reporting To: Managing Director / CEO / Authority Head

Project Type: NRDA (Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Development Authority) / Government Infrastructure Projects

Location: As per Project Site

🔑 Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Lead end-to-end execution of NRDA infrastructure projects (roads, drainage, buildings, utilities, etc.)

• Prepare project plans, schedules, milestones, and execution strategies

• Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the single point of contact with NRDA officials, consultants, and government authorities

• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams

• Attend review meetings, inspections, and progress discussions with authorities

Technical & Operational Oversight

• Oversee engineering, construction, and quality control activities

• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, DPRs, BOQs, and technical specifications

• Resolve on-site technical and execution challenges

Financial & Contract Management

• Monitor project budgets, costs, billing, and cash flow

• Certify RA bills, final bills, and variation claims

• Control wastage and optimize project costs

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety norms, and statutory requirements

• Maintain compliance with government rules, environmental norms, and labor laws

• Ensure proper documentation for audits and inspections

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports

• Maintain project MIS, drawings, approvals, and correspondence

• Escalate risks, delays, and issues to top management with solutions

Team Leadership

• Lead and motivate project managers, engineers, supervisors, and site staff

• Allocate responsibilities and ensure effective manpower utilization

• Conduct performance reviews and guide teams for efficient execution
