Job Description:
A Storekeeper manages inventory, ensuring goods are received, stored, tracked, and dispatched efficiently, maintaining accurate records, organizing stock for accessibility, and supporting smooth store/warehouse operations, requiring skills in organization, attention to detail, and inventory control to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular audits, reconcile discrepancies, and manage stock rotation.
- Receiving & Dispatching: Receive, unload, check deliveries for damage/accuracy, and prepare goods for sale or dispatch.
- Stock Organization: Store items logically, label them, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe stockroom or warehouse.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all stock movements (receipts, withdrawals, sales) and document transactions.
- Coordination: Liaise with suppliers, operations, and sales teams; initiate purchase requests for low stock.
- Operations: Oversee daily store operations, ensure compliance with safety rules, and assist with stock-related tasks like packing.
