DRIVER HEAVY VEHICLE FOR STEEL COMPANY - RAIPUR , CHHATTISGARH

Job Description:

• Transportation: Safely transport goods, materials, or passengers from one location to another using heavy vehicles, potentially over long distances.
• Vehicle operation and safety: Operate a heavy vehicle (e.g., tractor-trailer, dump truck) safely by following all traffic laws, company policies, and safety guidelines.
• Route planning: Plan and follow the most efficient routes, considering factors like traffic and weather, to ensure timely delivery.
• Inspections and maintenance: Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to check for mechanical issues and safety concerns. Document any defects and report them promptly.
• Loading and unloading: Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring it is properly secured and balanced during transit.
• Record keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and driver's log hours.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members about delivery status, delays, or any problems encountered. 

• A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and a clean driving record are essential.
• Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
• Familiarity with electronic equipment like GPS and electronic logging devices (ELDs).
• Physical ability to handle loading/unloading and perform vehicle checks.
• Strong attention to safety, detail, and the ability to adapt to unexpected situations.
